I have been using my computer for 2 years. It is Window XP, 512 Ram,2.8 speed and 120GB.

Exactly. Most like s/he got too many things in the startup folder / running in the background.
I suggest:
1) Format the hard drive
2) Reinstall OS
3) Install only absolutely necessary programs since the machine only has 512MB ram. Install more RAM might help but if u have a lot of unnecessary programs running, your laptop will still be slow.作者: chanky 時間: 2007-11-2 06:07 AM
You also can try to change you virtual memory.this also can help you laptop more faster and

Thank you very much for every one, who getting me lost of good suggestion and helpful ideas. My computer got fixed; the problem was from the power supply. Aferter changing it, My pc runs very fast.
