But my MCP is at 80C and the GPU Temp is around 50-60C
is this normal or do i need to add fans to cooling my system down.....
Also what is a MCP
THANK YOU作者: jwxie518 時間: 2008-7-13 10:19 AM
i believe the mcp tempeature is the south bridge one...
i don;t think it's too normal for 80c
you really should, first take off the case,
and maybe you should replace the factory-fan and buy a better cooler fan since the factory one is short-live and runs in a crazy speed作者: sonofgun 時間: 2008-7-13 11:14 AM
there is no fan on the MCP
just a HeatSink
now i added a rear fan to suck out the warm air inside
MCP is at 55C
GPU is 53 C
should i add another PCI fan right under my GPU to enhance my cooling in my PC?
Also i turned my CPu fan to the max at 5000rpm
and the rear at 2600rpm
would there be any problem leaving them like that over a long time period?
I can adjust it in the BIOS
cause its just smart fan control, either in selection is auto or disable
should i added another fan?
I have attached a picture of my PC inside
i added the rear fan but on this pic is not included.
you should try to lower the speed
and see the difference
i would never recommend anyone to turn it to a max
but of cuz, it will give you the best cooling
55c is acceptable
65c or above is not acceptable
your case seems to be good
but try to keep it low around 40-50
if you can add another fan, or cooler system, you may do so
that heatsink isn't a good choice
if you have money, of cuz you can use water cool heatink
a rear fan is awalys a choice
you may try difference size fan to see the difference
in the summer time, and during the winter time, just try to left some air to flow in and out
one last thing
those silver slots on the back (those for usb, vga in & out), there are some unuse slots
you really should open them since i think the air-flow isn't doing well if you keep it block and since the graphic card is kinda blocking the other half
you can also add some compound to the south bridge, even the north bridge and cpu
but make sure you know how to do it...
AS5 is what i always recommended作者: sonofgun 時間: 2008-7-14 12:22 AM
is adding a PCI fan under my GPU a good choice?
And is there a full name of AS5 cause i have no idea what it looks like
i cant find it on the internet
Also if i get AS5 where do i apply it on ?
Thank you

pci fan, 可以考慮但我通常會優先考慮用rear fan 或者側門的fan作者: sonofgun 時間: 2008-7-14 11:31 AM
These are the information i got from the EVEREST software
Sensor Properties:
Sensor Type ITE IT8726F (ISA 290h)
GPU Sensor Type Analog Devices ADT7473 (NV-I2C 2Eh)
Chassis Intrusion Detected Yes
Temperatures:
Motherboard 35 °C (95 °F)
CPU 25 °C (77 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #1 14 °C (57 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #2 21 °C (70 °F)
MCP 55 °C (131 °F)
Aux 27 °C (81 °F)
GPU 53 °C (127 °F)
GPU Memory 45 °C (113 °F)
GPU Ambient 40 °C (104 °F)
Voltage Values:
CPU Core 1.36 V
+2.5 V 2.50 V
+3.3 V 1.79 V
+5 V 5.67 V
+12 V 11.90 V
+5 V Standby 5.05 V
VBAT Battery 3.09 V
GPU Vcc 3.36 V
Does these specification seem fine to you or do i need a better cooling solution?
If i leave it like this for a very long period of time
would there be any problem coming up?
Also what is the ideal temperature for all the spec i mention up there
THANK YOU

基本上可以啦, 一般人(不算cpu)的話, 這些都是acceptable了 (沒裝extra fan / 散熱高的情況下)
GPU 1284 RPM (61%)
THE DATA IS ALREADY WITH INSTALLED THE REAR FAN
ALSO WHEN I RAN COD4 FOR 3 HOURS THE GPU AND THE MCP TEMP WAS AROUND 65-70C
SO WHAT IS THE BEST OPTION FOR ME TO COOL DOWN MY GPU AND MCP?
IF I add the side fan what would the be the difference?
and should the side fan blowing air in or sucking it out
my rear fan is now sucking air out cause there isnt fan doing that in my pc rite now..
Also how would i add the side fan onto the case??
on the metal covering of the PC?
there isn't a good solution except to spend thousnad dollars on a cooler system
it really depends on your case for the side fans
some cases have more than one side-spot for an extra side fan
use the AS5 will help a bit more
side fan does keep somewhat more hot air
but what i usually see my friend does in his hardward store is that he remove the "rear fan slot" and let it be empty作者: sonofgun 時間: 2008-7-16 03:42 AM
With those temperature from the EVEREST
would there be any problem runninng it like that for a long period of time?
what are the risks to those temperatures?
