      嚴謹精幹的主管Aaron Hotchner為了繼續追查連環殺手，選擇了留在BAU，妻子因此與他離婚並帶走了六歲的兒子。資深高級探員David Rossi在退休十餘年後帶著心結自願回來加入BAU，漸漸習慣BAU的新模式，融入這個團隊。自信幽默的Derek Morgan是犯罪重現專家，打擊罪犯時決不手軟，在組裡卻是活躍氣氛的調節劑． “天才”是對Dr. Spencer Reid最簡練的詮釋，他記憶力超強，是一本活的案例書。羞澀而堅強的他幾經考驗，終於漸漸走出毒癮的陰影。負責公關的Jennifer Jareau(JJ)也開始學習掌握側寫知識。工作繁忙的她一直低調地與警探William維繫著“異地戀”並懷上了孩子，正面臨工作的新調整。入組一年的Emily Prentiss，作風硬朗卻親和力十足。作為大使的女兒，她通曉阿拉伯語、西班牙語和俄語，加上豐富的辦案經驗和極強的觀察力，已完全得到大家的認可．技術分析員Penelope Garcia是BAU不可或缺的活躍元素和技術支持，在鬼門關前走了一遭的她在康復後收穫了愛情。

     上季末，BAU面臨一個事發於紐約的棘手案件。作案風格完全不同的不明嫌犯在街頭隨機槍殺行人，案發地點也不符合常規側寫……在那輛載著BAU某成員的SUV車爆炸後，第四季將如何揭開這個懸念，剩下的成員將如何拯救他們珍惜的同事，繼續追查打擊此次蓄意恐怖襲擊的幕後兇手，新一季將於9月25日繼續牽動《犯罪心理》觀眾的神經。

Joe Mantegna飾David Rossi

Joe Mantegna因出演舞台劇而聲名鵲起，在David Mamet（美國劇作家）的普利策獲獎劇本《Glengarry Glen Ross》中飾演的Richard Roma一角讓他獲得了托尼獎，此外音樂劇《Working》是他的首部百老匯作品。在家鄉芝加哥，他還參演了Mamet的《A Life in the Theatre》和《The Disappearance of the Jews》，還在洛杉磯執導了同樣為Mamet創作的《Lakeboat》並執導了此後的同名電影。 Mantegna構思並合作創作了外百老匯劇目《Bleacher Bums》，改劇本之後被改編成電視連續劇並為他贏得了艾美獎。
