your computer is a netbook, it is not a normal notebook, (Atom CPU), it is only for use on line, e-mail, or do some paper works or less. it is not that powerful to play game, and the "directx" softwave is to help those computer runs better. don't think about your netbook same as a desktop, it can't.

I think your notebook's video card not fast enough but you can try to upgrade the video card's driver. If you know the video card's brand & model no. then more easy, go to the web site find the newest driver download & install ,that'it. But if you don't know about the video card's brand then you need go to 1) control panel
2)device manager to find the video card's model no.
3)go to the web site find the newest driver
download and install.
