兆 here means million. This is a very low power. Normal power plant generates around 1000 megawatts.
Allthis was the fault of memeory users. Chinese has a perfectly logicalway of numbering. We starts with 个、十、百、千、万、亿、兆、京、. Followed by垓、秭、穰、沟、涧、正、载. The basic unit is 万. Mega is computer is only 百万 faraway from 兆.
