Designed by Manuel Villa, this apparently simple and austere home is located in Villa de Leyva, Colombia. Stretching over an area of 112 square meters, the project was meant to house a working studio. Remote and compact, this building is perfectly integrated in its environment and ensures the amount of tranquility needed by the artists inside. The small construction features strategically placed windows for efficient natural lighting and a minimalist but clever ventilation system consisting of various openings. The materials used to build the studio are strong and durable. Concrete and wood were the main items used. We really like how this small working space looks and we find it perfect for art and developing creativity in general. |
