Sorry.  I do not agree to the "so called finding".  Gyroscope of iPhone was never meant to be accurate in the first place.  It is used for relative value, not absolute value.  Almost all apps can re-calibrate the level function.   

In short, don't use iphone to do what a level ruler is made to do.  Don't use iPhone to do what campus is made to do.

And I am sure your iPhone is just fine.
