英國鯊魚手術後留陰影，變身吃素主義者。
多數人對鯊魚的印象總是外型兇猛、嗜肉且貪婪，但英國伯明翰國家海洋生物中心卻出現全世界第一條吃素的鯊魚，牠對肉類完全不感興趣，最愛的美食竟是菜味十足的芹菜和黃瓜，令當地民眾看得嘖嘖稱奇。
弗洛倫絲是一條長約2公尺的護士鯊，過去和其他鯊魚一樣都是「肉食主義者」，直到2009年一次手術，獸醫從它的上顎中取出一根深埋的生鏽魚鉤後，弗洛倫絲對手術陰影似乎揮之不去，從此對肉避之唯恐不及。
工作人員擔心，弗洛倫絲只吃素食會缺乏蛋白質攝取，也不利於術後恢復，偷偷將魚片藏在芹菜和挖空的黃瓜內，甚至包在菜葉間，打算讓它傻傻吃下肚。但只要一露餡被弗洛倫絲察覺，它就會鬧脾氣拒食，直到工作人員將素餐送到它嘴邊。
