Window 7 Pro 64 Bit / Ultimate - 192GB is true.

You can install memory as much as possible but Windows OS don't use it. Watch out the max memory.
Over the limit memory,  some main board  can see the memory but not the Windows. What is the point to add memory?

I have friend add a lot of memory.
They always said is faster but that is not Microsoft said.
We should not add memory more than the OS support. It is useless.

8 - 16Gb is more then enough, unless you are running virtual on your PC.

i would like to ask... my gigabyte 970A-DS3 can support up to 32GB , then means on os only can add how many? dual channel suite or above? i use for play online gaming,suft net,hd movie...like thats.
my spec is proc:AMD 3+ FX 4300
       Rams : kingston 1333mhz 4GBx2
      mobo : gigabyte 970A-DS3
      Graphic Card : Sapphire ATI HD 7770 Vapor-x(OC version)
      Hardisk: WD 2TB Green(sata3 64mb)
     PSU : Tagan 700w
