松哥该说 Mandarin 或 Cantonese,而不是 Chinese.

前面松哥老婆差点被车撞那一幕，他说请以华文(华语)和我老婆道歉。而因该是 Mandarin 而不是 Chinese,因为 Chinese 指的是华人，华族。反而 Mandarin 指的是华文(华语)。

Hong Kong people, before 1990s, only think Chinese is Cantonese.公仔箱論壇1 n: U9 P& _4 t4 L6 x
It was wrong but we only think and talk that way.

chinese 不一定是指华人也可以翻译成华文所以没有问题

i thought chinese is chinese, mandarin & catonese are dialect of chinese

What's wrong with the word "Chinese"? The word "Chinese" has multiple implications, just like any other words like "English" , "German" and "French"~~~ When you are in a place where majority of the public speaks Cantonese (which is a local dialect of Chinese), asking a person to "Speak Chinese" means you want that person to speak in that local dialect, i.e. Cantonese in this case! 6 S( z) U; j( n- Y; O" ^

I think your interpretation of "Chinese" being just a human race is far too superficial ~~~
