We would like to apologize. This recently-updated version of Wizard Hex is NOT the correct build. We made an error and submitted the wrong build last week. As a result, the game is prone to crashing. We would like to ask for your patience and understanding as we work as quickly as possible to fix the situation. We will be submitting a new build by morning, Monday, July 11th and expect to have it available within a week. THE LATEST: Corrected update version 1.3.1 has been submitted and is waiting for review.

Imagine a dark tower — where the forces of the world are harnessed by those brave enough and smart enough to control them. Wizard Hex — a seemingly simple game. Played on a elegantly designed hexagonal board, you choose your element and then challenge yourself against as many as five other players or as few as one smart computer to attempt to be the strongest and to take forever control.
You begin as an Apprentice, learn to be a Journeyman and eventually challenge yourself and others at the Wizard Level. You play not only your own element but the friendly elements found on either side. Together you struggle to Expand to new regions, Transmute from Bronze to Silver to indestructible Gold, and Attack when the opportunity arises. All the time defending and consolidating a winning position. A new strategy game of resource management and area control — Chess or Go for the modern age.
Wizard Hex is such a great strategy game that we are releasing it first as a traditional abstract piece moving game. Next in Wizard Hex's future we will be populating the game with unique Spells that will allow for a more modern fantasy experience. ❖❖❖ We would like to advise you not to update to this version of Wizard Hex. Instead, please wait until version 1.3.1. If you have updated already, it will not harm your device but it will make Wizard Hex not perform correctly. ❖❖❖

In the correct build which will be submitted for approval this week (1.3.1) will be adding the following:
1. Add Voice Chat to the Online Multiplayer sessions
2. We've improved the Online Play matching so there are more direct matches with other players and a greater chance of finding an online game.
As with this current update (1.3) you can also "Invite a Friend" if you want to be assured you will get a match with an online game, or you can play Local Play as you have done before.
This update also has more detailed in-game instructions, and the help "?" on the touchstone will now glow whenever new languages have been added to the rules translations! (plus any news about the game or updates)
