At the first sight on the topic I suppose it is the waterfall near Wah Fu Estate .After examine the pictures finding the place is more,more beautiful than the one in Hong Kong.Last #3 one is great.

The size of Butterfly Valley Fall seems like a little small. I don't expect the size as big as Nagara Fall in between the border of the USA and Canada. It would be a nice place for mountaineering. Look at the first two pictures, there are few garbages beside the rock under the fall. Hope it won't be too dirty in the future.

This is a little gem, nothing like Nagara Fall, which is grand and weighty. This one is seclused, quiet, little waterhole, rocks, makes me home sick. I been to a place like that when I was very young in HK. But its there no more. ~sigh~ real pity.

Thank you for telling me the location of the Butterfly Valley.  I would love to pay visit sometime in late summer or early autumn.  Would you be able to give me some further direction as how to get there from Taipei.  Is it a long tracking?  Is it save to camp there overnight? Or is there accommodation close by?

Great big falls are magnificent and awesome, but I have always loved the smaller falls as I could be very close to it and even walk around it.To feel it, touch it, experiencing the currents, the speed, and all the momemtums of the falls splashing, running down at me. Or perhaps picnic nearby enjoy a little sandwich, some hor'doeuvres, maybe some fajitas, or a few sashimi and sushi and rolls plus with a nice bottle of wine relaxing and wee away some lazy hours. Splendid afternoon to me

Hay Kimmi, you just made me more home sick

. I used to go somewhere like that when I was a little boy, I would have a little swim at the water hole, got right under the water fall, having the water hitting on my head, its an awesome feeling. It was like a big big shower, or actually more like a lot of heavy jets coming off the spa. Usually behind the water fall, there is a tiny cave (I think its due to corrosion from the fast running water), when you swim pass the water fall, get into the cave, find some a little rock to sit on, you would see an amazing water curtain, and all you can hear is the sound of the water hitting the pool surface.6 Q& X: z1 A5 w, a3 q# d
A simple sandwich would do me fine, with a cup of coffee would be a real treat.
