This magnificent park was built by the Emperor Qianlong but destroyed by the Anglo-French armies during the war. Later was rebuilt by the Empress Dowager Cixi whom stole the Northern Ocean Navy military Fund to do so. This led to the defeated in the battle of the Huang sea.so bad!!!
