As Bernie Bickerstaff prepares to coach the Los Angeles Lakers for a second consecutive game on Sunday night, the team continued to address its coaching vacancy.
The job, which opened on Friday when Mike Brown was fired following a 1-4 start, remains Phil Jackson's to accept or turn down, according to multiple reports. One negotiation point, according to Yahoo! Sports, is that Jackson wants to limit how much he travels for away games.

The plan if the 11-time champion does sign on, according to the New York Daily News, is to get assistant Brian Shaw released from his deal with the Indiana Pacers and potentially add Scottie Pippen to the staff as well.
Pippen, a Hall of Famer, played for Jackson in Chicago but has never coached, despite a reputation as a fantastic teammate with elite knowledge of the game.
The Lakers, according to multiple reports, were also scheduled to interview veteran coaches Mike D'Antoni, who last coached the New York Knicks; and Mike Dunleavy, who coached the Lakers for two seasons in the 1990s, as backup plans.
LA plays the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night, and then the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday. After that, their next game is Friday at home against the Phoenix Suns.
