It's true that China has every right to help in searching, the majority passengers on board MH370 are Chinese.   It's not China who supplied the wrong information to seach South China Sea or Straits of Malacca, it's the Malaysian Govt!!!  Wonder why US media want to do this, too arrogant and petty!
