根據運輸署資料，香港持有有效私家車車牌的人士當中，年紀最大的達到一百零三歲；而最年長的的士、小巴駕駛執照持有人亦年過九十。雖然持執照者不一定有駕駛習慣，相對於專營巴士，的士、小巴司機不設年齡上限，面對車長老化問題，是甚麼原因令行業缺乏新血？所有駕駛者年滿七十歲後，每次續牌需要提交，經醫生簽署的體格檢驗證明書，這個唯一的把關，是否足以確保司機自身和道路安全？
