and how to choose??

i think seagate or maxtor will be good for u coz they offer 5 yrs warranty for their retail hard drives.
western digital offers 3 yrs warranty
and im not sure the other brands thou

first u have to choose the size. Now most people choose notebook HDD but this easily broken as always carry around.
Desktop HDD is more reliable but very bulky.

Most HDD spec almost same. The difference is very small and normally user would not feel it at all. Brand of HDD is not the issue.
