David Villa wants to join Arsenal and new Theo deal on the table
Interesting news tonight, David Villa wants to join Arsenal in January to gain more playing time. This doesn’t mean a deal is likely, as a fee will need to be arranged and wages – proving massive stumbling blocks, however the player definitely wants to join us which is fantastic news.
To add to this Theo Walcott will be offered a final deal, which will make him the highest paid player at Arsenal and be offered a substantial signing on fee. If he doesn’t take the deal we’ll just have to bite our tongues and accept it. Whether he’s worth £100k a week is hugely controversial, although to lose him at this point would be devastating.
Our interest in Zaha is also ‘hotting’ up with a bid expected to go in, in January. Manchester United’s interest is very real though.
