RAW Format convert to Jpeg or Tiff

Dear Photographer:
Most of the time after convert the Raw format to Jpeg, the sharpness and detail always gone. Any ideas what is the best way to handle the RAw format with minimum detail loss in the picture .Please Advice

Which software is the best for the RAW convertion? I'm canon user , used DPP sooftware supplied from Canon. Just would like to know which way is the better treatment for RAW format.

JPEG檔是破壞性壓縮，細節一定會受到破壞，並且JPEG檔每存檔一次就會破壞一次，而JPEG檔的好處就是檔案小。
TIFF檔是破非壞性壓縮，細節可以不會受到破壞，但是檔案很大。
依我個人習慣是保存RAW檔，如果需要輸出放大相片時則轉換成300pdi的TIFF檔，如果是放到網路上則轉換成72dpi的JPEG檔，如果是在自己電腦的螢幕上或電視上觀看時則轉換成300dpi的JPEG檔，因為在螢幕上觀看時300dpi的TIFF檔實在太大了，載入速度很慢。

From what I know, by using the original software is always the best.
Example, if taken RAW in Canon (CR2). Use DPP (Digital Photo Professional) to convert is the best, the colour wil be 100% same as what you see at your LCD and the sharpness is perfect.

For RAW in Nikon (NEF). Use ViewNX or CaptureNX.

One things that is not good about original software is.... the speed is slow.

一般輸出相片的標準都是用300dpi，網頁的標準都是用72dpi。
dpi是每英吋的畫素，300dpi代表每英吋300個畫素，因此一張8x10的相片(比A4小一點)所需要的畫素就是(8x300)x(10x300)=720萬畫素。
Canon的後製軟體DPP(Digital Photo Professional)預設值為350dpi，所以當您將所拍攝的RAW檔在DPP後製時可以不需要改變畫素，也就是用350dpi的TIFF檔輸出(不要用JPEG輸出以免畫質受到壓縮破壞)。
載入Photoshop後才變更為300dpi，當然如果您的相機畫素夠大，足夠要輸出相片大小(例如350dpi 8x10的相片所需要的畫素是980萬，而您的相機所拍攝相片的畫素是1200萬)那也就不必調降為300dpi了！
