It's Amorphophallus Titanum, the Titan Arum.  It normally grows in tropical rainforest of Sumatra.  It only flowers once in every three years, and the flower develops, it only lasts three days.  So very few people have seen it.  Technically, it's a whole group of flowers clustered around together, but you could be justified in regarding it as one flower.  It is related to dead horse arum, but it's about nine feet tall and three feet across.  The function of the great spike in the middle is to produce a smell, it smells very strong of bad fish.
