I agree a cop can not be a lawyer, but it could be written that a cop has lawyer license before he joint the force....

I had that strange feeling that she is an undercover cop too, must then again she would have crossed the line when she sleep with she shifu lawyer. My guess is that she will distance herself from Michael after the lock-up in the Police station detention cell when memory of her child birth inside prison come back to haunt her.
